As I don't know what issues you encountered when opening your Yahoo!
account, it is difficult to advise. However, I have been running roups on
Yahoogroups for a number of years and have had no problems. You will have to
solve a CAPTCHA when opening your account and when creating your group. With
Firefox and Webvisum, this is no problem.

Subject: [BCAB] Obtaining a Yahoo Account

As some of you know, I operate a group for former Dortoners on Googlegroups.
However, since the recent changes on Googlegroups both I and my co-Manager
have been experiencing considerably difficulty in maintaining control of the
group we have run for over 6 years now, and I am thinking of moving it to
another provider. I am told that Yahoogroups has become much more
VI-accessible over the past few years. However, I had great difficulties
when trying to open a Yahoo account last night, and at the moment cannot
understand what if anything I did wrong. Can anyone out there come up with
any suggestions of the best way to open a Yahoo account, or suggest any
alternative provider to use. Because of the nature of the list, Freelists is
not an appropriate provider to use.
