Hi Alexander.

You can find out and change the location of these data files from the
data files option in the file menu, This can also be gotten to by going
to the tools menu, options, mail settings tab. Therese a button on this
dialog for data files. This brings up a screen where you can find out
where your files are currently stored.

For offline backup, close down outlook, wait 20 seconds or so for the
process to properly close. Navigate to where your files are and copy
them in the normal way. There are commands in outlook to do an export of
this stuff as well.

Outlook is so much better at this than outlook express ever was.

Thanks.
Nick.

Subject: [BCAB] a couple of quick Outlook 2003 questions

Hi all,

How can I ascertain exactly where my Outlook.pst and
Archive.pst files are stored?

How easy is it to copy the Outlook.pst and Archive.pst files
to an external drive for storage?

Alexander Shannon
