The spelling is J a r t e
A very good point of  reference for programs  is 
http://www.jaws-users.com/programs/

where all the programs will work with jaws if not with every version of
windows.
You will definitely find jarte there.
Just press insert F7 and type jarte and you should jump straight to it.

Any idea where I can get hold of jartjarte as a google search revealed 
plenty of stuff regarding the Star Wars character Jar Jar Binks but no 
mention of word processor.
