Hi Ibrahim,

That's no bother. I've tried the Carbonite IOS app and it looks really
good to be honest. I think I'll go with Carbonite.

Barry.

Hi Barry.

Sorry its taken me a while to get back to you.

Livedrive's IOS app is usable, though not particularly brilliant. For
instance, when browsing through your folders on livedrive, although the
letter grouping in the list of folders is announced, for example A, B, C

etc., the folder names themselves aren't, same too with the files within

folders which is going to be a real groaner if you have lots of files
you
intend to access using it. Of course, give it a try, you don't have to
enter billing details by the way so there is no way you'll be charged.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Ibrahim,

Have you tried LiveDrives IOS app? I'm only interested in going for
something who has botha usable Windows client and IOS app.

Thanks,
Barry.

Hi Barry.

I have worked with Livedrive on their desktop client accessibility, at
least I have told them whether certain parts of their system could use
improving.
So far, the desktop client is reasonably accessible, certainly more so
if you have a good working knowledge of your screen reader in order to
navigate using the cursors such as the JAWS cursor or Window-Eyes cursor
etc. There is a restore client for Livedrive which has a few issues,
these are namely mislabelling of the control types, so that a screen
reader doesn't recognise a tree view and list view which comprise the
application's interface, Livedrive have assured me that they'll be
fixing these problems in a future release but cant give me a timescale.

If you are thinking of trying Livedrive, may i please ask that you click
on:
http://www.livedrive.com/?tid=VBF4C2FC&r=1
It helps me boost my referral rating and is a record that I am
convincing blind/partially sighted individuals and business owners to
take the service seriously as well as trumpeting the accessibility of
the desktop client software.

All the best and thanks, Ibrahim.

Hi folks,

I'm mainly thinking of LiveDrive or Carbonite. I'd be interested in
peoples views on,

A. The Windows client accessibility.

B. The IOS accessibility for remote reading, streaming files from
yoru cloud backup.

I can look at both their sites for their plans and was wondering if
you've went with either are the unlimited plans really that? I'm
looking to backup at least 1.5TB.

If you've another competitive solution, (not Dropbox, skyDrive, or
GoogleDrive, I'm not looking a syncing solution), I'd be interested to
hear yoru thoughts as well.

Thanks,

Barry.
