Hi David,

I suspected this to be true, because I installed Adobe flash and it kept
saying my Flash was out of date. Tried it with Firefox and IE.

It's horrid.

All the best

Steve

If you are talking about the flash elements of the Cloud player for
importing music etc. I don't think you can.

I spent ages discussing this with Amazon Tech support and they insisted that
I could use NVDA but I do not believe this is true.

Basically you are getting a false message about Adobe needing to be updated.
You will find that, if you turn off your screenreader and get sighted
assistance for this step, the error message about Adobe needing to be
updated disappears and the flash elements of the Cloud Player will install
fine.
You will find this error appears even on google Chrome which will prove it
is not a Flash upgrade problem but an incompatibility between the Flash
installation and Screenreaders.

I replicated this problem on XP, Windows 7 with NVDA and Jaws, and even on
the Mac with Voiceover but I could not get Amazon Tech support to take it
seriously.

A warning though that even after doing this with sighted support navigating
the cloud player, especially for importing music is a considerable challenge
requiring multiple use of the Jaws OCR capabilities to identify areas to
click on the screen with a virtual mouse click.
