We do not only have to consider those with sight issues, but many other
groups such as dexterity problems due to strokes, people who are otherwise
print-impaired such as dislexics and those with lack of sensitivity in
fingers such as diabetics.  This is certainly a much wider issue than for
those with restricted or no sight.  Speech, fine, how about those hard of
hearing or deaf-blind?  

As for needing to carry headphones, why not use the smart phone apps to
access such machines?
