Dennis,

I think there are two indentations which represent two intents on a knob.
You need to twist this to unlock the panel. Once off, the rollers will be
exposed, and any mashed up paper should be easily removed. You'll know it is
the right panel, as it actually has small thin rollers on the inside,

David.

Thanks, I found a panel above the roller but there is one at the back just
near the bottom that won't come off.
The rollers did move freely however.
Kind regards,
Dennis huckle.

Hi Denis,
There should be a removable panel at the back. It can be a bit fiddly to get
off and then back on but can be done with patience.
Once the panel is off, you will probably find a sheet of paper scrunched up
in the mechanism.
Gently pull this out. Check to make sure you haven't left any pieces in
there.
Replace the back panel and hopefully you should be ready to go.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards. Ian.

We have a photosmart 300 series printer,

The cartridge is new but we get a message saying carrage jam.

We have followed all instructions but it won't clear.

However its around 7 years old.

Any thoughts?.

Kind regards,

Dennis huckle.
