My the way, I suspect it is a "LaCie" drive - note spelling.

If it is, Andrew's advice about Disk Manager is what they say in their
manual.

However, before you rush off, does it need to be used with both Windows and
MAC?

George

Hi,

Exactly, that setup program will probably repartition the drive based on
questions you were asked but probably isn't accessible. Just repartition
the drive with Disk Manager as George says, or use Diskpart.

Andrew.

Hi

The hard drive had something called set up what didn't work for me at all
as well as to other items that didn't do anything except one that offered to
encrypt the external hard drive. So far it's still saying 200 MB that's
all. I've done a quick format and it still says 200 MB.

list disk to get the disk number, select disk to choose the disk and list
part to view partitions).

Would it be a good idea to format the hard drive?.

plugged it in into the 3.0 port on my computer but when I go to transfer
files what is less than 4 TB it says there's not enough room. When I look
at the storage available on the actual hard drive it says there's only 200
MB available. Does anyone know why this might be?.
