I think pressing F6 should navigate to the 'Enable editing' button. HTH.

Where do I find "enable editing" within a given document? I'm using Word
2010 which uses the ribbon layout. I do not know how to navigate this freely
but if you give me the keystrokes used to find enable editing, I will be
able to do it.
