[BCAB] a quick question for list members who have BTInternet accounts and routers

Clive,
I rang them once and they asked me to turn the speakers off! I did explain
that I was a blind person using a screen reader on my computer and they had
no idea what I was on about.

Norman.

Hi Derek,

Having a BT Hub isn't directly disability related. However, phoning a call
centre where you ask to order a new hub and they try to guide you to place
the order online by saying: "click on the blue circular icon on the bottom
of your screen' is less than helpful to a blind person. Even more so when
they don't understand you when you say you are using your computer without
the mouse or the screen because you are blind.

Best,
Clive

Hi all,

I am aware that some list members have BT internet accounts, but this
question is really aimed at any who have both BT internet accounts and BT
hubs. Is there a particular number I can call in the UK to ask for a
replacement hub, as, although my present hub still works to a degree, I've
had it 11 years and am having problems connecting devices, as well as the
wireless signal not reaching across a room.

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Alexander Shannon
