A lot more convenient.

Have you tried the old chestnut of running Jaws in default mode to see if
any of the settings are screwed up.
If I recall correctly you do something like turn off Jaws , command R type
jaws18 /default kwith a space between jaws18 and the /default.

Sometimes I find this solves the problem whereupon you can delete your
settings files to force Jaws to recreate them but it is normally easiest I
find to do a re-install of Jaws.

Also does the same problem occur with NVDA?
If it does then perhaps the auto suggest in Outlook has somehow turned off.
You might have to look through the Options to check.

Hi David and all

It is that second step that doesn't work. I down arrow and get nothing. No
feedback at all from Jaws. This is the problem I'm trying to solve.
Re-started several times to no effect.

Cheers

Barry

Not routinely happening here on Outlook 2010 but I use a slightly different
method to you.
First type in the first few letter. Down arrow until you hear the
alternative address and then press enter.
To enter the next email repeat the process if sending to one or more emails.
Once all the emails are in they will bautomatically separated by semi
colons.

I have occasionally had the problem you describe, especially if using File
Explorer to send an email attachment but normally a restart of Outlook
solves this problem.

Hi all

When I write an email, I used to type the first couple of letters of an
email address from my address book and press down arrow to move between
auto-fill for the address. Now, I can only get an announcement of the
address when I press tab, which puts the address in. If it's the wrong
address, I have to delete it and try again, trial and error. For example,
if I want bcab, I type b and press down arrow. Jaws used to announce Barry
work first, then I down arrow again and it announces BCAB. I tab and it
fills in the address. Now, if I type b and press down arrow I get no
feedback at all. This only seems to have been happening with the last Jaws
18 update. Any help welcome.

Thank you in advance.

Cheers

Barry
