Actually I think Google Play Music is larger than Spotify, because you can play music that you can't ordinarily stream.

This is because Google Play want you to buy the albums.

Only on Spotify :(. I don’t get it but I do know that Spotify is perhaps the largest catalog that’s worth subscribing to, especially since it’s accessible from any device under the Sun, barring HomePod.

I’ll reevaluate this advice if things change.
