Hi,

Thanks for the Toshiba recommendation, he has a Toshiba at the moment with a
physical wheel which manipulates the volume in software, so I will see if
they still do that on any models. The volume control could be keyboard
based, so I will look at the utility as well.

Unfortunately the Surface models will be out of the price range as well as
not really meeting what is required.

Thanks.
Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

Does it absolutely have to be a volume wheel? If you want to control
the volume from the keyboard, any keyboard whether it has multimedia keys or
not, try http://www.stascom.co.za
There are also a few knobs/wheels available which connect to the PC
over Bluetooth, the one I've heard most about is made by Griffin. There are
obviously a ton of buttons which do this as well. Sorry not to be able to
give exactly what's wanted but it's been quite a while since I saw a wheel.

Hi,

Probably not possible to get one of these anymore but a VI friend who has a
very old laptop wants to buy something with a volume wheel. Does anything
exist like this? I was looking at some hp models as they have fairly good
speakers.

I think he may have to use external speakers to be honest.

Andrew.
