Hi Clive

That's why I am looking forward to the arrival of Google Max to these shores, because this baby has a 3.5mm socket on it.

Kind regards,

Hi Jackie,

That's why having a jack socket on the Echo dot is such a good thing. You can pump the sound through whatever you like. I suppose Bluetooth would make this possible with most, if not all of those devices, even though one device creates the need for another technology, and so on.

Best,
Clive

Hi Colin

It has a much deeper sound, but I think the Mini is pretty good as well if you compare it to the Echo Dot equivalent.

Hi Jackie, yes I get that just did not think the larger one was that much. I assume the sound is considerably better out of the larger unit?

Hi Colin

You need to put in Google Home Mini, the original larger version is the one that's coming up for you.

Hi Kerry, unless I am finding the wrong device, the google home search is coming up at circa £120 which is much more than the Echo! am I coming up with the wrong device!

I have an echo and I love it but it was £69 on offer. If the google home is cheaper then that's quite interesting. We have the echo in our Bedroom because we don't have enough room to have a dot and a good speaker system.

I have to say that while i love the echo devices for music and books, I wish she gave you more useful information. Google I think is the best at that sort of stuff.
