[BCAB] NVDA announcing single digits

Hi Jackie,

Yes, I did that a while ago with Eloquence and forgot I'd done it. I use NVDA very little for personal use.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve

My way round it is with the Eloquence SAPI5 which I purchased from you for £45. Once installed and working with NVDA, you can go into Eloquence and tick single digits which work for me now. But if you don't have the Eloquence SAPI5 engine, then you have to stick to digits being read in chunks which I frankly detest. I still think this is a moderate request that NV Access could and should have sorted out by now.

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown

Hi,

Nothing to do with it. All we're asking for is numbers pronounced in single digits. I don't like phone numbers read in millions.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve

nNV access have just launched a training module for Microsoft XL as part of their ongoing series of training materials for the NVDA screen reader. If you’re experiencing issues using NVDA and XL, it might be worth reading this information, though I am not a regular XL user and can’t vouch for it.
