[BCAB] Typing on the iPhone.

I've got to say that I find dictation a none starter because of its inability to amend the text with the voice. In my humble opinion Flick Type is the app that's changed my life when it comes to typing on the iPhone.

I don't think anyone has yet mentioned what I regard the fastest method of
input.

Provided that privacy isn't of great importance, and provided that the
ambient noise level isn't too high, I have found that dictation is quick and
extremely accurate.

Yes, if you generally have a stong regional accent, it does help to pretend
you're reading the six o'clock news on the Home Service, but it's the
quickest way for me in most situations.

If I cock it up, I can either amend manually, or just delete it all and
start again - and all this before I've open any app or found my pocket
frame!

All the best,
Richard

Gerard,

I can't send a response via the "Reply" button, so am writing as if this is
the first or second email in a thread.

I can thoroughly recommend using Braille Screen Input. You will
find it in Rotor. It allows you to write using Braille
characters on a virtual six-dot keyboard. For me, at least, it
is much, much quicker than the hit-or-miss touch screen method.
Please email me off list for more details.

Warm regards,

Jim.
