thanks Adrian, if I go into contacts file menu, there is an open and export option, there is then a choice of calendar or contacts.
In contacts it comes up as an outlook data file without a name then says to open
Is that the right process?
Thanks
Colin

Hi Colin

You need to import them into outlook on your home pc. I assume the file is a csv file, just put it on your pc and then import it to outlook or gmail through the e-mail account. It is pretty straight forward. I have done this and have also sinced my contacts with my mobile phone, a big mistake.

Subject: [BCAB] Copying Outlook Contacts file

Hi All,
I use an office 365 outlook on my work pc to store my contacts which then sync with my I phone incidentally.
I wish to copy my contacts to my home pc also running outlook 2010 rather than 2013 which is what is on my work unit.
I have my g-mail account on both machines.
I have copied the contacts file from my work main outlook file to the file hierarchy of my g-mail account which works.
However it has not copied onto my home pc and when I sit on my g-mail contacts file it says, only on this machine.
Any idea how I can get this to sync to my home pc or copy a different way to replicate on my home outlook pc.
Hope this makes some sense.
Thanks
Colin
