Hi Terry,

A blind friend bought an Indesit innex bwa91683xw washing machine about two years ago and says it is pretty accessible, with dials that click into position and buttons that can be felt.

Katie

Hi Terry,
I bought a new washing machine and tumble dryer about eighteen months ago and the company I bought them from , who stock products from a wide range of manufacturers, looked at machines up to £700 and the only ones which had physical knobs on were the specific Hotpoint models I bought, which were around £200 each. I don’t know whether they are still available but when I get home tomorrow I can find the model numbers for you if that would help. Otherwise I’d recommend going to a store and looking at them first rather than buying online.
I also have a CDA dishwasher which is reasonably accessible. There is a button for power and another which steps through time delays before the machine start. The other button steps through programs so you have to count the number of presses to select the one you want. However, One press of this button selects the Eco program, which is the one I use nearly all the time. The only problem I have is with topping up the salt and rinse aid since this relies on looking at the display and when little lights go out so I have to get someone to assist me with this when someone is around.
Adrian.

Hi Terry, I've got an Lg washing machine that has a dial that clicks round and buttons that beep when you press them. The machine's a few years old, but, lg said at the time that there machines were all going to have sound.
I've also got an lg microwave that has sound as well. As for dish washers, I've also got one with a nob that clicks round to its various settings, but, the even better news is that mine has stayed on the same programme for yonks and the dishes are fine. Tom
