Did you get your Sonos gear hooked up with Google Home?  I am honestly not
sure what I did differently as I never got this error.

Hi Jackie,

Just out of interest, what happens if you use the VO bypass function?  So
instead of pressing the button by double tapping, double tap and hold until
you get a sound, then release and double tap again.  This tells VO to ignore
the next tap, but don't focus on any other thing before you do your last
double tap anywhere on the screen.

I don't know if it will work, but I have used it in iOS to get round this
problem in other apps.

Hi Adrian

Interestingly, I've had no issues with connecting Alexa, it was all very
straightforward, it's just when I try to connect Google.  I am leaning
towards the theory that it might be VoiceOver since you, John and myself
have all experienced the same thing when it comes to Google.  I'll have to
wait for someone with some sight to spend a little time with me going
through the procedure, and watching what happens when I get to the log-in
process.  Using a completely different app recently, my son clicked on a
button that VoiceOver didn't speak at all, and if he hadn't done that, I
would have been going round in circles.  It is possible therefore that this
is a VO issue given all three of us have so far hit a brick wall.

I'll report back when I can grab a pair of eyes that work! (smile.)

I've had exactly the same problem with the Oops message connecting Sonos to
IFTTT and with Alexa. I tried rebooting my router as suggested in a Sonos
Community post to no avail. However I solved it with Alexa by using
Alexa.amazon.co.uk instead of the Alexa app so if there's a way of doing it
on the web with Google Home I'd try that.

Following discussion on this list today, I decided to give it another go.

contact Customer Care'.  I next went to my Google Home app, and found the
Connect To Sonos button that Steve referred to.  It takes you to the Sonos

I then decided to contact Sonos Customer Care, and went through this with a
lovely chap over the phone.  He asked me to send him a diagnostic report
which came back fine with no issues.  He then suggested I reboot my router
which I did.  I'm still getting the same message each time I try to log into
the page in order to link up my Google Home.

Does anyone have any other suggestions, or have come across this issue?  As
previously stated, I have no issue linking Alexa, but I've never been able
to link Google either through the Sonos1 or using a Google Home device.
I've even tried using a different password but still get exactly the same
message instead of the usual 'You've entered the wrong password, please try
again' type message.
